Ashby Congregational Church
Faith, Action, Results
I was hungry and you fed me. I was thirsty and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger and you invited me into your home. I was naked and you gave me clothing. I was sick and you cared for me. I was in prison and you visited me.
Matthew 25: 35-36

Local Mission

The church is actively involved in the local community in offering practical help and support.
Ashby Congregational Church administers and distributes food parcels by Ashby Food Bank on behalf of the coalition of churches in Ashby.
The Church supplies Street Pastors on Friday and Staturday evenings to ensure the safety and welfare of the many revellers enjoying Ashby's vibrant night life.
The Church also supports Ashby Youth for Christ, a local charity providing activities and practical support for the young people of Ashby. The Charity also provides an outreach service to a local Young Offenders Institue.
The young people of our junior church, of their own initiative raise funds to support numerous charities of their choice.
We provide use of our church hall and facilities to various interest groups within the community. Most of these groups have no religious affiliations to the church. However we believe that in serving the Lord the church should be an open door for all of the community.

World Mission

The Church is active abroad with members offering assistance and education to enable people to escape poverty.
We are currently supporting campaigns to supply fresh drinking water in remote areas and teaching farmers new agricultural techniques to improve their yield.
